Fri! #5/Goodbye 2010

Day 1096:
Day 365 of '10:
Winter Break '10-'11, Week 2, Day 14:
*Currently listening to: No Other Love - John Legend ft. Estelle

The year is finally over. Today is New Year's Eve, the last day of 2010. I had such a good, eventful year and life definitely has changed since the beginning of it. Andres called me in the morning, inviting me to hang out with him and Marco. I got ready and headed to Marco's house. The two of them were on Tumblr, their usual business. We discussed random matters around Marco's computer and ended up watching some TV until Andres and I had to go.

Katie called me saying she's ready so I drove to her house. She had some food ready for me, and after our meal, we drove on to Downtown. Urban Outfitters had a sale on sale so Katie wanted to check that out. Katie ended up scoring some shoes for $30, and they weren't even supposed to be that cheap. Katie also wanted to go into Lucky, and ended up scoring a sweater too. It was a great day of shopping for Katie. After Downtown, we headed to my house for a little meal.

I called Raul to see what he was doing after Katie and I ate our meal. Raul was going to go to the store for some ingredients for drinks, so Katie and I headed over to Lexi's to join in on the mission. We drove on to Wal-Mart and waited in a long line for Raul's concoction. When we got home, Raul and Lexi got out a big bowl and started mixing stuff together, and in time, we had ourselves a drink.

To kill some time until midnight, Raul brought up the idea of playing hide and seek. So the four of us ended up playing hide and seek in Lexi's house. Sounds kinda hard, and yeah, we had to get creative since we were limited in spots. We played for a good while and just stopped. Lexi's mom fixed up some drinks for us, and we just hung out until 12 hit by the TV and Lexi's room. The four of us counted down for the new year, and boom...

Goodbye, 2010... You served me great.

peace.

Day 1095:
Day 364 of '10:
Winter Break '10-'11, Week 2, Day 13:
*Currently listening to: Stop Me If You Think You've Heard This One Before - The Smiths

Woke up really in the morning and got ready fast, and soon Katie picked me up from my house. We ate a little breakfast before Lexi came to pick the two of us up, and we were off to the airport to pick up Raul. Raul is coming down back to San Diego for two weeks! We were all talking about Raul as we got closer to the airport, and we spotted him real fast, with Lexi being all "starstuck" and all.

As we got the luggage handled, we dropped off Raul's sister and ate some McDonalds for breakfast. Lexi and Raul dropped me and Katie off at Katie's house as they went to their basketball game. We were tired off of just 4 hours of sleep so both of us just went quickly to sleep after that. As we woke up, Katie put on Ditty Dancing: Havanna Nights on and she got ready go to Lexi's house. I worked on a Christmas card as suggested by Katie, As we got that done, we headed to Lexi's house.

Katie and I opened our presents from Raul. Katie got some fuzzy socks from Aeropostale while Raul bought me a vinyl for Electric Ladyland by the Jimi Hendrix Experience. I guessed the cover as I just ripped a hole from the wrapping paper. Pretty proud of myself. Raul was starving when we got there, so we decided to make ourselves some pizza, making our sauce from scratch. The four of us enjoyed a little meal until Lexi had to go to her business meeting. Katie, Raul and I headed Alba's house for some fun.

At Alba's house Raul and Alba exchanged presents. Raul was pretty excited for his since he had no idea what it was. We decided to play Scrabble for the night. Katie and I decided to have an early goodbye and headed to Katie's house. We warmed some hot chocolate and enjoyed the night.

Tomorrow will be a better day.

peace.

Wed. #5/Voice

Day 1094:
Day 363 of '10:
Winter Break '10-'11, Week 2, Day 12:
*Currently listening to: Bigmouth Strikes Again - The Smiths

I spent a good amount of my day by myself. I talked to Katie for a good while on the phone and used the computer way too much until I got really over it and decided to return my Trainspotting DVD to Blockbuster. I thought, might as well because I'm there, I should go visit Goodwill to see if there is anything worth buying. I looked at the CD and didn't find anything, but when I looked at the vinyl there was a lot of good stuff. I ended up going home with Stevie Wonder's Songs to the Key of Life and Simon and Garfunkel's Bridge Over Troubled Water for $3.50. I walked across the sprinkles of rain and drove back home.

I played the side with "Isn't She Lovely?" on Songs to the Key of Life until that side ran out, and then I decided to see what Alba was doing. She wasn't doing anything either so I ended up going over to her house.

We played two-player Scrabble as I went into her house. We played two rounds with Alba winning the first and me winning the second. We didn't settle the score, but instead, we decided to drive to Wal-Mart to see if we can buy something to do. As we got to Wal-Mart, we headed to the toy section for some board games and came across a box of puzzles. We thought that that would be a cool idea so we bought a 500 piece puzzle along with a drink and a package of Sour Patch Kids and got out. On the way home, Alba bought some carne asada fries to share and we got to completing our puzzle.

We got our puzzle going until Katie called to pick her up from Lexi's house. So I said goodbye to Alba and picked up Lexi's. Lexi and Katie showed me their painting they've been working on for the day as I came inside and we quickly made our way to Katie's house.

Cool.

peace.

Winter Break '10-'11, Week 2, Day 11:

I called up Katie in the afternoon and she said she wanted to clean. She has been sick and weak, so I offered to help. And then like that, I was off to her house. She swept and I took out the trash. I helped her vacuum and the chores were done for today, although Katie wanted to do a lot more. She didn't feel good and was tired. She decided to take a bath while I sat on the couch playing some Scrabble Flash.

After she got out, she decided that she wanted to browse the movie list for a movie for the night. We decided on watching The Godfather, so after browsing through video hosting sites, we got the movie on the road. Time to time, we went downstairs to look for some food or grab some popcorn for the three hour movie. It was an alright story. I'm probably going to be bashed for saying that.

Hm.

peace.

Mon. #5/Trainspotting

Day 1092:
Day 361 of '10:
Winter Break '10-'11, Week 2, Day 10:
*Currently listening to: Do! Do! Do! (Laidback Luke Remix) - Carte Blanche

I started my afternoon by driving to Disney to ask for days off next week since I'm going to be out of town with Lexi, Katie and Raul. I hope everything goes through. It went smooth when I walked into the back but I gotta see at the end of the week. I called up a couple of people but they were not really responding so I decided to wait until Katie was done with her doctor's appointment.

Soon enough, Katie arrived at my house, and we both drove down to Blockbuster to pick up a movie from our winter movie list. We didn't really get stuck with any decision for long, and we decided on Trainspotting. On the way back, we stopped by Cold Stone to use our gift cards we got for Christmas. Katie got an ice cream while I picked up a milkshake, and we headed back to my house.

We enjoyed our creamery from Cold Stone as we watched Trainspotting. It was interesting but not really mind blowing. Towards the end, we got kinda over it and we started playing some Scrabble Flash. When the movie ended, we decided to go to Katie's house to enjoy some dinner.

Choose life.

peace.

When I'm With You
by. Best Coast

I'm beginning to wake up way later and start my days later in the afternoon recently. Katie got a call from Alba, and it turns out that Alba wanted to hang out. I called her up, and she brought up how we still have to buy Raul a gift. So we decided on a plan, and everyone got ready. I went to Katie's house after I got ready, and as Katie got ready, we drove off to pick up Lexi and Alba.

Lexi gave me some unexpected Christmas presents. It was cool. We headed to Plaza Bonita after picking up Alba. When we got there, Lexi and Katie got some blizzards at DQ while Alba and I shared some Cinnabuns. We ran into Nik on his break as we managed to find a seat. He had to leave quickly. We entered Sun Diego to check out their boards after our meal. We found a candidate on a deck for Raul, but Alba wanted to check out Zumiez to see if there was anything better. We picked out a Plan B deck for Raul, and we were done. Alba wanted to check out more stuff to buy for a complete, so we went downstairs to check Sun Diego again. Out of frustration, Alba and I called it quits and the four of us returned to the car.

I dropped everyone off, and headed to Katie's house with Katie to enjoy some dinner. Katie's mom apparently didn't cook anything so we ended up just heading upstairs. Katie wanted a Famous Bowl from KFC so I drove over for two bowls for both me and her. Had a fatty meal, and we ended up going downstairs to watch some TV for the rest of the night.

Hope you like it.

peace.

Sat. #4/'Tis the Season of Giving

Day 1090:
Day 359 of '10:
Winter Break '10-'11, Week 1, Day 8:
*Currently listening to: Love - Erykah Badu

Merry Christmas everybody! I didn't get my Christmas started until Katie called me to go over to her house. I wrapped the gifts beforehand and got my presentation all ready. As she got to her house, Katie and I opened our gifts for each other. I ripped open a plaid button-up shirt, fingerless gloves, and a video camera. Katie was in for a surprise on what she got, and let me tell you, she was thrilled. We went upstairs and started to watch Phantom of the Opera on the computer until my mom called me that the Christmas dinner was all ready.

I came back home to enjoy the early Christmas dinner with the family, and I headed back to Katie's house. We went to her office and popped in the Directions Death Cab DVD I got Katie for Christmas and watched that for the night. For the rest of the night, we rested in Katie's room and spent the rest of Christmas together.

I loved Christmas.

peace.
